  • Remediation Reminders:

    • The last date to drop Fall/Winter 2017-2018 full-year or Winter 2018 term courses without academic penalty is January 10, 2019
    • The last date to apply for the Tuition Credit Opportunity from dropped Fall/Winter 2017-2018 and Winter 2018 courses is January 16, 2019.

Academics

  • IMPORTANT DATE! The first day of classes for the winter term is Thursday, January 3.

  • Winter Orientation for all new incoming students, including transfer and mature students, will take place on Friday, January 4, 2019.

Health & Wellness

  • Engage in an important conversation about well-being at York by registering for the second Well-being Summit. Second Student Centre, Conference Centre, Thursday, January 10, 1 to 4pm. Registration required.

Athletics & Recreation

  • Mark Cross Memorial Hockey Game, Saturday, January 5, Canlan Ice Sports, 7pm. The York Lions men’s hockey team will take on the Brock Badgers in a game to honour the memory of York Lions hockey alumnus Mark Cross. Join pre-game for a special ceremony on-ice and jersey retirement.

  • The men’s volleyball team will be hosting three games this weekend in the Excalibur Classic. They host the Humber Hawks on Friday, January 4, 2 pm. They take on the Western Mustangs on Saturday, January 5, 4pm, and finally they’ll be squaring off against the Guelph Gryphons on Sunday, January 6 at 6pm, all at the Tait McKenzie Centre.

  • The men’s hockey team will also be facing the University of Toronto Varsity Blues on Friday, January 4, Canlan Ice Sports, 7pm.

Out & About On Campus

  • Employment Opportunity - Residence Life is hiring Dons for the 2019-2020 school year. Applications are due Wednesday, January 9.
