  • IMPORTANT DATES! The first day of classes for the Summer 2019 term is Monday, April 29.

  • The last date to add a S1 Term course without permission of the instructor is Friday, May 3.

  • Employment Opportunity: The Division of Students is hiring for the positions of Digital Communications Assistant and Web Development Assistant for the Summer term! You can find the applications for these positions at Experience York, the Career Centre’s new and improved full-service career and experiential learning portal.

  • The Career Centre has relaunched their T.A.S.T.E Mentoring Program on the new Experience York platform. T.A.S.T.E provides York Students with an opportunity to talk face to face with a York Alumna/us about their career-related interests. Check out the step-by-step guide on how to enroll and apply now!

International Connections

  • New International Student Orientation. York International will be offering an important session to help international students understand and adjust to living in Canada while addressing specific situations and common questions. New international students must register for and attend one orientation session. If you are not able to register online for your session of choice because it’s full, please attend the session that fits in your schedule and we will register you in person. The next session is Wednesday May 1, 2 to 4 p.m. 242 York Lanes.

Out & About On Campus

  • Register now for the Women & Girls in Leadership and Sport Conference! Set on three thematic pillars of resilience, leadership and breaking barriers, the objective of the conference is to educate, support and empower women, girls and allies to advance females in sport and leadership roles. The conference features speakers and workshop clinicians that will share their experiences and critical life skills needed to develop female “leadhers” of tomorrow. Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 in the Second Student Centre.

  • The Undergraduate Philosophy Student Journal Conference 2019. Meet other students from across all majors during this great opportunity to showcase the top five submissions to the all-inclusive Undergraduate Philosophy Student Review Journal: The Oracle. Network with other students with similar interests, join in critical discussion and gain conference experience. Thursday, May 2, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vanier College VC010.

  • Have you started the LGBTQ2S+ campus climate survey? If so, complete the survey before Thursday, April 30. “Thriving on Campus Survey” is an Ontario-wide, bilingual, LGBTQ2S+ campus climate study and the results will inform efforts to foster the acceptance of LGBTQS+ students and promote their wellbeing and academic success.
