Important Dates

  • The SU and S2 Course Withdrawal Period runs until Monday, July 29.

  • The SU and S2 Course Evaluations are available online until Tuesday, July 30.

  • The study day for the SU and S2 terms is Tuesday, July 30.

  • The deadline to apply to graduate in October 2019 is Wednesday, July 31.

  • The SU and S2 Examination period will be held between Wednesday, July 31 and Friday, August 9.

  • The University is closed for a Civic Holiday on Monday, August 5.

  • Fall/Winter 2019-2020 course and program fees, which will be impacted by the provincial government’s Student Choice Initiative, are now available on the Student Financial Services’ Fees webpage.

Out & About On Campus

  • Student Counselling & Development (SCD) wants your help with a Mural Painting! SCD is looking to enhance their reception area with a mural that reflects their values of mental wellbeing, diversity and inclusion. The student(s) responsible for the selected submission will be given the materials necessary to create their mural. Upon completion of the mural, a $250 stipend will be paid to the student(s). Submission period closes Wednesday, July 31 at 5 p.m.

  • Announcement: LinkedIn is retiring Lynda.com and replacing it with LinkedIn Learning. York's users will continue to have access to the learning resource with thousands of high-quality instructional videos and non-credit courses on themes such as business, design, eLearning, marketing, photography, video editing, web development and more. Migration date: Tuesday, July 30.

  • Workshop: Memory. How good is your memory? Join Learning Skills Services at their workshop to learn techniques that will help you efficiently store and retrieve information! Monday, July 29, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Workshop: Exam Prep. Are you ready for your summer exams? Whether your exam is in a multiple-choice, calculation, short-answer or long-answer format, this workshop is here to help you prepare! Wednesday, July 31, 11 a.m. to noon.

  • Webinar: Ways to Make Money While Studying. Learn about a variety of sources for on- or off-campus employment and understand how to tap into the “hidden” job market. Registration required. Tuesday, July 30, 10 a.m. to noon

International Connections

  • International Student Advising. York International’s advisors can assist you with your questions on matters of immigration including study permit, work permit, visas, permanent residence, etc. This service is available in person, by phone or by email. Drop-ins are available from Monday to Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Coffee Break @ The Global Café: Join York International for a Coffee Break in the Global Café. Meet new and old friends, ask senior students and York International staff questions about York U or Toronto and relax and enjoy a treat and beverage.   • Changes to Parking: The university has changed its campus parking enforcement process to improve efficiency, effectiveness and fairness to everyone using York U’s parking operations. As the new process takes effect, the University is offering individuals with outstanding tickets an opportunity to settle their accounts by way of a ticket relief program, available until September 2019.
