Announcement

  • An update from President Lenton regarding the Initiative on Open and Respectful Dialogue: "Last November, our community experienced a deeply troubling incident at Vari Hall. As a University committed to creating inclusive, equitable and sustainable communities, we understand our responsibility in protecting the role of universities as places where rigorous and respectful debate can take place to tackle the difficult challenges we face. It is with much thanks that I announce that Justice Cromwell has completed a thoughtful, independent review of the incident, and our Internal Working Group, co-chaired by Sheila Cote-Meek, Vice President, Equity, People and Culture, and Lucy Fromowitz, Vice-Provost, Students has had an opportunity to reflect on the recommendations in their own Report to the Community." Read the full report here.

  • Summer Online Activities Calendar. Check out this calendar and take part in some online activities during these days of isolation. Connect with others and participate in activities for your academic, career, entertainment and fitness needs.

  • YU GOT THIS. This fan-favourite event has gone virtual! Join other students and staff who can support you and help you navigate this new learning environment . You will be provided with stress-reducing activities and tips to upgrade your studying, writing, and presentation skills. And in case you were wondering, yes, they will even have therapy dogs that you can virtually snuggle and play with! Monday, June 8, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Drop in anytime.

  • REDI Workshop: Requesting and Accessing Accommodations. Attend this workshop and receive a detailed overview of the rights and responsibilities in the accommodations process based on the Ontario Human Rights Code, such as those involving disability (including mental health), creed (religion) and sex/gender. Learn how to request and respond to accommodation needs and hear strategies that will assist in increasing inclusion and accessibility in the York community. Academics

  • Online/Remote Learning Protocol for York University Students. York has developed best practices and protocols to support you in your online/remote learning success. Similar protocols have also been provided to staff and instructors.

  • Fall/Winter 2020-2021 course enrolment. Course enrolment windows for Fall/Winter 2020-2021 have been revised and are now available online. Course enrolment for continuing students opens June 30.

  • REMINDER: Check for available self-serve tools and resources on My Online Services. Get what you need, from wherever you are, at almost any time of the day. The list of available resources is growing daily as new online and mobile methods are introduced to deliver services and resources you need.

Money Matters

  • 2020-2021 OSAP applications are now open. If you are enrolling as a full-time student in Fall/Winter 2020/2021, York recommends that you apply and submit all required documentation through your OSAP application by Tuesday, June 30.
