This Week @ York for Week of November 30, 2021

Announcement

  • Changes to York’s Health and Safety Plan for Winter 2022

As outlined in the latest Community Update, the York community can expect some further health and safety enhancements for the Winter 2022 term, in addition to the current health and safety practices on campus.

    • The Care Ambassadors Program ("CARE SQUAD:Ambassadors for YU") will support with wayfinding, answer health and safety questions, and remind everyone of the ongoing need to complete daily screening using YU Screen. The trained CARE SQUAD will be easy to spot in shirts identifying their roles and stationed in high-traffic areas on York’s campuses.
    • New YU Screen features are coming for the winter term including a green checkmark made more visually prominent in the screening result and will signify when someone has passed daily screening.
    • By Dec. 1, all students who intend to access York’s campuses in the winter term must upload proof of vaccination through YU Screen. During the winter term, all York community members may be asked and must be prepared to show their YU Screen clearance checkmark anywhere services are accessed on campus. Note: York will not be conducting random YU Screen clearance checks.
    • York’s mandatory mask and face covering policy is now being updated to reflect that the consumption of food and drink will no longer be permitted in instructional spaces (with some exceptions). The number of designated eating spaces is being increased on both campuses to help with this transition.
