Announcement

  • You are invited to watch the annual Remembrance Day ceremony which will be livestreamed this year.  Remembrance Day honours the men and women who were killed during the two world wars and other conflicts. Thursday, Nov. 11, 10:30 a.m.

  • Announcement for International students: York has committed $10 million in funding for international students who are experiencing financial hardship due to the pandemic.

    All international undergraduate students who: a) demonstrate financial need, b) are actively enrolled in the Fall/Winter 2021- 2022 academic session and c) are paying international tuition rates, are eligible for bursary consideration. Fill out the Undergraduate Bursary option in the Student Financial Profile to be considered.  Email [bursary@yorku.ca]bursary@yorku.ca with any questions!

  • Call for nominations for Chancellor. A committee has been struck to nominate a successor to York’s Chancellor, The Honorable Gregory Sorbara, and is inviting students to suggest individuals for this important and prestigious position.

    The Chancellor of York University should be a highly esteemed individual who is regarded as a visionary leader able to command the respect of the University community. They should appreciate and embody the core values of the University as set out in York's Mission Statement.

    Suggestions, with biographical information, if possible, should be forwarded by Friday, Dec. 10 to pascalr@yorku.ca.

  • You’re invited to attend Dialogue on Sustainable Development in the 21st Century: Certificate event, hosted by the SDG Hub! As an introduction to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, you'll discuss the core concepts of the 17 SDGs, as well as the work that is required to satisfy the UN SDG Certificate. Registration deadline: Friday, Nov. 12.

  • UNHack 2021: Design Solutions - Impact LivesSign up for an unforgettable weekend, where you'll try and solve some of the world’s greatest challenges focusing on the UN SDGs. Entrepreneurship Support

  • Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) at York. YSpace, in partnership with Alumni Engagement, will host a series of free events for community members for GEW.   • York University Scavenger Hunt. Navigate Keele campus, snap some photos and get free prizes as a reward! The SCLD Student Engagement Ambassadors have put together a photo scavenger hunt that highlights different locations on campus. Each week, the Ambassadors will be hiding scavenger hunt prize slips that you can win! Tune into @StudentLifeYU on Instagram every Wednesday to see a clue on where the slip might be hidden that week.

  • Art Therapy Group. Join these group sessions hosted by the Centre for Sexual Violence Response, Support & Education (The Centre) and facilitated by Full Circle Art Therapy Centre, and explore the therapeutic benefits of art making, such as: self-expression, stress relief, relaxation and more!
