Health & Wellness

  • The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion (REI) will be offering REDI series workshops and Anti-Racism REDI series workshops all summer long. All sessions will be offered virtually and are free and open to all York students. Attend at least three of the REDI workshops (90 minutes each) and complete the REDI Online Tutorial to receive a REDI Certificate of Completion!   • Anti-Racism Workshop Series: Acknowledging & Addressing Racism. Join this workshop and gain an understanding of how to recognize racism, how it can manifest and what its impacts are. You'll learn about strategies to address barriers to inclusive spaces and become familiar with relevant tools, policies and legislation within the York context. Tuesday, May 11, 2 to 3:30 p.m. Registration required.

  • Multi-Tenant Housing Stakeholder Meeting for Tenants and Students. Do you live in a multi-tenant house off campus? Join the City of Toronto for a meeting, specifically for students to learn about the proposed multi-tenant housing framework, share input, discuss your perspectives on living in multi-tenant houses and provide suggestions for ways the regulation of multi-tenant houses can be improved. Wednesday, May 12, 6:30 p.m. Registration required.

  • Student Accessibility Services Information Session for Mature Students. Do you want to know what academic accommodations we can put in place for mature students with disabilities and how to access these supports?   • ICYMI: York Posts Top Scores in Times Higher Education Global Impact Ranking 2021. For the third year in a row, York has been ranked highly by the Times Higher Education (THE) Global Impact Ranking, which ranks universities on their work towards the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year, York has placed 11th in Canada and 67th overall against 1,115 post-secondary institutions from 94 different countries. Read more about it here.
