Announcement

  • Pop-up Vaccine Clinic at Keele Campus. York will host its first pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Keele Campus, in partnership with Humber River Hospital. Only the Moderna vaccine is available. Vaccines play an important role in protecting ourselves and those around us and all members of the community who are eligible, are welcome.

    Tuesday, June 22 and Wednesday, June 23, 10 a.m. until supply runs out. Learn more about the pop-up vaccine clinic.

  • UIT Announcement: The UIT Network team will be performing maintenance on the data centre network from 10 p.m. on Friday, June 25, to 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 26. This maintenance will enhance the performance and reliability of many systems and applications at York. During this maintenance period, there will be intermittent outages that could last up to 60 minutes for many services, including the University's main website and eClass.

  • Creating your own LGBTQ2S+ Self-Care Kit. Join Student Counselling, Health & Well-being's (SCHW) Queer-Identifying Counsellors as they create their own self-care kits to help inspire you to build your own to unwind, relax, rejuvenate, and make you feel good about yourself during PRIDE. Tuesday, June 22, 2 to 3 p.m. Please email thecentre@yorku.ca to register.

  • TBLGAY Presents: Queer Perspectives At and After Campus (Alumni Panel). Join TBLGAY and the York Alumni Network for a Table Talk on Negotiating the Post Undergrad world as a Queer/Trans Individual. Hear perspectives from former TBLGAY members, York graduates and current York undergrads on what it means to enter and leave the academic sphere and retain their queerness. Tuesday, June 22, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Registration required.

  • Scholars' Hub @ Home Speaker Series: June 20, 1981: The battle of Church Street and the founding of Pride Toronto. This year is the 40th anniversary of both the Toronto bathhouse raids and the founding of Pride Toronto. This presentation will reflect on the connections between the resistance to the bathhouse raids and the forgotten histories of Pride Toronto. Wednesday, June 23, noon. Registration required.

  • Student-Parents' Get TogetherIf you're a student-parent, this session is a safe place to create new connections with other parents who are also students, with a sneak peek into new event ideas for the new term. Thursday, June 24, 11 a.m. to noon. Registration required.

  • Academic Integrity and Universal Design. In this workshop, you'll develop an understanding of universal design and academic integrity in an educational environment and consider the ways universal design can become part of a teaching strategy. Tuesday, June 29, 3 to 4:30 p.m. Registration required.

  • Graduate Students Coffee Break. Join York International and the International Graduate Student Committee (IGSC) for the first Summer Coffee Break for graduate students.   • The Health & Wellness Student Needs Assessment Survey is here! Complete this survey from SCHW to influence how health and well-being services are delivered to York students. Students who complete the survey will be entered to win one of 40 $50 gift cards! Survey Deadline: Thursday, August 5.

  • Mindful Meditation SessionTake a break and join these relaxing meditation sessions facilitated by Psychologist Scott Pope from SCHW. These sessions will help you to de-stress, decrease loneliness and increase positivity. Thursday, June 24, 1 to 1:45 p.m. Drop-Ins welcome!

  • The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion (REI) will be offering REDI series workshops and Anti-Racism REDI series workshops all summer long. All sessions will be offered virtually and are free and open to all York students. Attend at least three of the REDI workshops (90 minutes each) and complete the REDI Online Tutorial to receive a REDI Certificate of Completion! International Connections
