  • Mature Students Webinar: Resumé & Cover Letter Writing for Mature StudentsAttend this session and find out how to effectively target your resumé and cover letter.   • Mindful Meditation Session. Take a break and join these relaxing meditation sessions facilitated by Psychologist Scott Pope from Student Counselling, Health & Well-being. These sessions will help you to de-stress, decrease loneliness and increase positivity. Thursday, June 10, 1 to 1:45 p.m. Drop-Ins welcome!

  • Workshop: Learning to Learn Remotely for Mature Students with FamiliesJoin this online session to learn effective strategies for studying and completing coursework remotely. This workshop will also include discussion and strategies around how to balance school and family responsibilities. Tuesday, June 15, 2 to 3 p.m. Registration required.

  • Mature Students Health Workshop: Cultivating Resilience & Self-Compassion for Stress Reduction. Attend this workshop and learn about the function of stress, how it affects our well-being and how we can develop realistic strategies to build and implement resilience as mature/part-time students. Thursday, June 17, 2 to 3 p.m. Registration required. Bonus: Participants will be entered to win an Uber Eats gift card.

  • The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion (REI) will be offering REDI series workshops and Anti-Racism REDI series workshops all summer long. All sessions will be offered virtually, are free and open to all York students. Attend at least three of the REDI workshops (90 minutes each) and complete the REDI Online Tutorial to receive a REDI Certificate of Completion!   • Challenging Unconscious Bias & Microaggressions. Join this workshop and learn about forms of unconscious bias and stereotyping that lead to microaggressions and discriminatory behaviour.   • Sex on the Couch – Pride Edition. Join the Peer Health Educators and the community support team in this session for a community dialog regarding LGBTQ2S+ sexual health, consent, healthy relationships, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and practices for safer sex.
