Money Matters

  • Student Financial Profile (SFP): Complete your SFP at the start of each academic session to be considered for a variety of programs. Effective August 3, the Student Financial Profile is open for:

    • Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards – Deadline to apply is October 15, 2021
    • Work/Study, LEAP and RAY programs - Deadline to apply is February 18, 2022
    • York University Undergraduate Bursary - Deadline to apply is March 18, 2022
  • Earn while you learn: Are you interested in gaining work experience or test drive a career path while still at university? Check out York’s Work/Study, LEAP and RAY positions.   • Paid Internship Opportunity: Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER) is recruiting three Research and Project Coordinator Interns and one Digital Communications Intern to work virtually for the 2021-2022 academic year. These are paid, full-time positions either eight or 12 months in length. Interested?   • Deloitte Canada Black Student Scholarship and Indigenous Student Scholarship: Are you a second, third- or fourth-year student who identifies as being part of the Inuit, First Nations or Métis communities and/or self-identify as being part of the Black community? Are you interested in a paid work term? Apply for Deloitte’s Black Student Scholarship or Indigenous Student Scholarship, for the opportunity to receive $5,000 for school expenses and a chance to work for Deloitte for a 4-month paid internship. The deadline for applications is August 22, 2021. 25 scholarships available. Open to co-op and non-co-op students.

  • C4: The Cross-Campus Capstone Classroom: When thinking about full year courses for next year, don’t forget to check out York’s award-winning C4 Program. This unique learning opportunity brings together students at the third-, fourth-, and fifth-year levels to work in interdisciplinary teams on real world challenges with social impact. Application deadline for Fall/Winter 2021-2022 is Wednesday, September 1. Apply today!

  • Clubs 101: Interested in registering your own student club for 2021-2022? Attend the mandatory Clubs 101 session. This session offers foundational knowledge on registration, marketing, fundraising, University policy, and much more. To be an officially recognized student club at York, one representative (preferably a signing officer) from each organization must attend this mandatory session. Space per session is limited so make sure you register! Monday, August 11, 2 to 3 p.m.

  • Principles of Highly Effective Leadership: Interested in learning what makes an authentic, effective leader? This workshop, offered by Student Counselling and Leadership Development (SCLD) will explore foundational leadership principles most commonly seen as vital to success. Learn strategies to enhance your leadership capacity and put it into practice on an everyday basis. Registration with your York email address is required to access this workshop. Thursday, August 12, noon.

  • Lassonde Undergraduate Summer Student Conference: Are you interested in the different advances in science and engineering? Check out this full-day conference showcasing Lassonde research students' projects, including robot-based disinfection of COVID-19, protecting heritage structures from climate and fire, and the development of autonomous vehicles. Tuesday, August 17, 9 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Registration is required, preferably before August 12.
