  • Starting Off Strong - for New First Year Students. If you have just joined York, welcome! Learn how to get started at university and key skills, as well as discover tools that’ll help you succeed. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

    Time Management. Attend this workshop to learn practical, personalized approaches to managing your time that work for you. Thursday, Jan. 13, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration required.

Learning Skills

  • Zoom/eClass Student Tutorial. Learn the ins and outs of Zoom and eClass to prepare for any virtual classes you may have this year. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Registration required

Careers Support

  • Virtual Café Hour – Transfer Student Connect. Join the Atkinson Centre for Mature and Part-time Students (ACMAPS) and experience a warm and inviting virtual atmosphere where you can meet a student peer mentor and connect with other transfer students on campus. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1 to 2 p.m. No registration required.

    ACMAPS Peer Mentor Meet and Greet (virtual drop-in): If you are a mature student and looking to network with like-minded people, join this session and connect with the ACMAPS Peer Mentors who can help you settle in and navigate university life successfully. Thursday, Jan. 13, 3 to 4 p.m. No registration required.

  • Graduate Recruitment Office Hours. During the month of January, hop on a Zoom call with a Graduate Officer to discuss questions you may have about York graduate program admissions, programs and graduate level study at York. Join online to ask your questions at any point during the hour. Registration required.
