  • York Community Budget Consultation. During this session students will be provided with an overview of York’s finances, an update on this year’s budget, and an opportunity to share your thoughts on what you think our priority areas for investment should be. Health & Wellness

  • Share your thoughts. Students are invited to attend a focus group to help Student Counselling, Health & Well-being and Learning Skills Services develop a new series to support learning and well-being skill development. Students will be asked to discuss their needs and resources. All focus group participants will receive $10 to their YU card. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 4 to 5 p.m. OR Monday, Jan. 31, 1 to 2 p.m. Registration required.

Learning Skills

  • OMNI Workshop. The Nellie Langford Rowell Library is hosting an OMNI research information and training session. If you want to learn basic library research techniques and tools to maximize your online learning experience, this is the workshop for you. One student attendee will be the winner of a $15 York Bookstore gift card! Thursday, Jan. 27, 11 a.m. to noon. No registration required.

    Workshop: Mental Health 201 – Supporting Peers in Distress. This workshop provides you with ways to support peers with mental health concerns. You are encouraged to attend MH 101 as the foundation workshop. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 12:30 to 2 p.m. Registration required.

    Workshop: Meal Planning on a Budget. This workshop looks at shopping for healthier foods, comparing nutrition labels, and easier ways to plan your meals on student friendly budget. Friday, Jan. 28, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
