  • Get advice on coming to campus from YU Screen. If you are feeling under the weather, use York’s self-assessment tool for next steps. After your screening, the Student Case and Contact Management team will contact you to follow-up. If you are unsure about whether you should come to campus, continue to screen daily.

  • Vaccination Events. Partnering with the Ministry of Health and public health units, York is making access to vaccines easy and convenient for community members. Keele Campus Thursday, Nov. 10, noon to 5 p.m. Lorna Marsden Honour Court. Various dates available. Registration required.

  • November is Community Safety & Crime Prevention Month. Every fall, York University promotes and recognizes campus safety services and efforts. Find out more about services such as the Safety App, and how you can feel safe and secure on campus.

  • VPS Meet & Greet. Enjoy a wellness break with Vice Provost, Students Nona Robinson by taking a walk around campus, and getting to know the people you meet. Various dates available, beginning Thursday, Nov. 10, 2 to 3 p.m. Registration required.

  • Well-being Strategy Engagement Sessions. Join community members and share input, feedback and recommendations for developing priorities for York’s Well-being Strategy to enhance well-being on our campuses. Attend virtually and in-person on the Keele and Glendon campuses this fall. Various dates available, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 8. Registration required.

  • 2022 Sustainable on the Go Conference. Engaging speakers will discuss new sustainable and inclusive norms of higher education. The conference will follow three themes: Connecting local and global classrooms, global learning and community engagement.   • Career Lounge. Career peer educators are available to support you with resumes, cover letters and job-related questions when you need it. Explore their hybrid schedule, running Monday to Friday. No registration required.

  • Career Conversations Panel: Discovering Careers as a Mature Student. Connect with Mature Student alumni! During this panel, professionals will share their personal stories about breaking into the field, how their career paths took them from graduation to where they are now and more.   • Study Permit Extension Workshop. Is your study permit expiring in the next 3 months? Get help on how to use the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) online application system. Thursday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to noon. York Lanes 280N. Registration required.

Health & Wellness

  • Student Counselling, Health & Well-being (SCHW) offers several support groups to show you that you are not alone, help you make new friends with others on campus and develop feelings of trust and mutual support with group members. Every session is led by SCHW facilitators who promote a safe and positive space for participants.

    Gay Men’s Support Group. Every Wednesday, 2 to 3:30 p.m. Registration required.
    Health Education & Promotion Workshops. During the month of November, the Health Education & Promotion team at SCHW will host several peer-led workshops as exam season approaches.
