    • Important Date: The University will be CLOSED on Friday, July 1 for Canada Day.
       
    • Announcement: York to Pause Mask Mandate. Effective Tuesday, June 28, York will no longer require masks to be worn in indoor spaces. While face masks will no longer be required on campus, we strongly encourage the York community to continue wearing them to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19. No matter what your decision is about wearing a mask, we ask that everyone respect each other’s decisions. Read the full announcement.
       
    • Announcement Regarding New Vice-Provost Students. Following an extensive search, Nona Robinson has been appointed to the position of vice-provost students effective Aug. 15. The vice-provost students heads the Division of Students and is responsible for strategic leadership and planning in a diverse portfolio.     • Pride Month. York celebrates and shows support to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community by learning about the history, culture and contributions that they have made to Canadian society. The York community must continue to stand against homophobia and all forms of discrimination and racism to ensure that everyone feels a sense of belonging.       Bringing Your Whole Self to Work w/ SAGA and TBLGAY. Learn about their journey of transitioning from school to work from members of York’s Sexuality and Gender Advocacy (SAGA) Alumni Network and the importance of bringing their whole selves to work. Thursday, June 30, noon to 1 p.m. Registration required.
       
    • National Indigenous History Month offers many opportunities to learn more about the histories of Indigenous Peoples on this land. National Indigenous History Month is an important time for settlers to learn about First Nations, Métis, and Inuit histories, cultures, lifeways, and the treaties made with the early settlers, British Crown, and later Canada. It is also a time for Indigenous Peoples to celebrate their Indigeneity. Join the York community in learning more about Indigenous Peoples in Canada.

      Ambe Daga Wiijiiwishin: An Indigenous Walk on Campus. Join the Centre for Indigenous Knowledge and Languages and the Department of Indigenous Initiatives for a walk to reflect on Indigenous History Month and explore Indigenous spaces on campus.     • Job Search and Networking Strategies Webinar. Learn how to uncover hidden opportunities and build relationships that maximize your job search efforts. Wednesday, June 29, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Register through Experience York.

Student Support Services

    • Racialized Students Support Group. BIPOC students can reflect on their identities, experiences and challenges to build community at this session. Hosted by racialized facilitators, a focus of the group will be placed on processing and healing from racial trauma.
