  • Upcoming Vaccination Clinics. York will be hosting a series of vaccine clinics across its campuses throughout August and September. Clinics will provide COVID-19 and other vaccines that may have been missed due to the pandemic. Vaccines are free for everyone and details on how to access them can be found on the website.

  • Join the Student Advisory Committee. The committee brings together students with diverse backgrounds and experiences to share their thoughts on projects, policies and initiatives being pursued by the Office of the University Registrar. Contribute towards strengthening student services at York. Applications open early September. Check the website for more details.

  • Scheduled eClass Outage. eClass will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance on Wednesday, Aug. 24 from 5 to 7 a.m. If you have any questions, contact askit@yorku.ca.

  • Complete the Student Equity & Diversity Census. Take five minutes and complete the survey to help build a more inclusive community. By better understanding you – who you are and how you identify – we can provide targeted services, resources and supports to our community’s equity-deserving groups. Fill out the survey when you enrol in your classes this fall.

  • Google Apps at York has a new 50 GB storage limit. Accounts over the 50 GB limit will have limited access and ability to send and receive emails. Use Google Takeout to export and back up your data regularly.

  • Student Accounts Lifecycle. If you will no longer be enrolled in courses at York, your student computing accounts will enter an expiry process. Ensure that you have downloaded and backed up your files onto your own personal devices. For more information, visit the UIT website.

  • Maclean’s Annual Student Survey. The Maclean’s Student Survey ranks universities across Canada based on professors, residence life, extracurriculars and more. Share your experiences and help future York students learn more about the University! Complete the Maclean’s survey here.

  • Steps to Success: Making the Most out of Your University Experience. Gain insight into academic success and personal and professional development. Recognize your personal interests and find ways to utilize them in your university experience. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2 to 3 p.m. Registration required.

  • Graduate Admissions: Virtual Office Hours. Learn more about graduate admissions, our programs and graduate-level study at York University. Join the virtual office hour at any time to ask any questions you might have and feel free to hop off whenever is needed. Friday, Aug. 26, 11 a.m. to noon. Registration required.

  • Student Accessibility Services. Do you require disability-related academic accommodations for the fall term? Register with Student Accessibility Services by following the three-step process on the Register with Us page on our website. Students who are registered will be able to access upcoming workshops that will assist students with disabilities with a smooth transition to post-secondary. Students should note that they need to register as soon as possible in order to be set up for September.
