  • Mental Health Awareness Week

    Well-being Week: Caring for your mental health. Mental health is just as important as your physical health, and can affect everything from your physical well-being to your academic success. Join the pan-University initiative where you'll learn about valuable resources, self-care practices and more, while we destigmatize mental health issues together. Learn more about the events taking place across campus, continuing through Thursday, January 26.

  • Countdown to Congress Launch Event. Get a sneak peak of Congress 2023 and preview live musical and Indigenous dance performances to be featured in York’s Arts@Congress programming.   • Critical Thinking. At university, learning involves much more than memorizing facts and figures. Push the limits to achieve a deeper level of understanding, analysis and evaluation. Friday, January 27, 10 to 11 a.m. Registration required.

  • Tests, Midterms, Exams, Oh My. Learn tips and strategies you can use before, during, and after your tests to feel prepared and confident. Friday, January 27, noon to 1 p.m. Registration required.

Mature Student Support

  • Time Management for Graduate Students. Learn practical, personalized approaches that will help you manage your time as a graduate student. Thursday, January 26, 2 to 3 p.m. Registration required.

International Student Support

  • Spend your Summer Abroad. Take courses outside of Canada this summer, from May to August, and earn credits towards your degree. Explore a new culture, country and develop language skills to discover something entirely new – the world is your classroom!

  • International Research Mobility Experience. Canada and Latina America Research & Exchange Opportunities (CALAREO) has opened internship opportunities for students who have completed two years of their program. Find out more about this internship and other funding opportunities with Global Learning.

  • Preparing to Graduate webinar. Are you an international student graduating at the end of this term? Prepare yourself for a successful transition to life after graduation. Topics of discussion include working, taking another program, inviting family members to convocation and more. Wednesday, January 25, 10:30 a.m. to noon.

  • Taxco Summer Abroad 2023 Hybrid Information Session. This Summer Course includes five weeks at Glendon Campus and two weeks abroad in Taxco, Mexico. Combine your knowledge of Spanish through immersion and experiential learning by completing community practicums with locals, excursions, cooking and eco-gardening workshops. Keele Campus.   • Partner Summer School Info Session. Study at one of York's global partners for up to 6 weeks in the summer. You will have the opportunity to explore and experience a different culture and earn credits towards your degree. Friday, January 27, 2 to 3 p.m. Registration required.

Health & Wellness

  • Student Counselling, Health & Well-being (SCHW) offers several support groups to show you that you are not alone, help you make new friends on campus and develop feelings of trust and support with group members. Every session is led by SCHW facilitators who promote a safe and positive space for participants.
