  • Women’s History Month. October is celebrated as Women's History Month. Set some time aside to learn more about the women who have shaped Canada’s history and fought for gender equality, and continue educating yourself on the best ways to support the women around you!

  • Campus Sustainability Month

    York’s Sustainability Race. For Campus Sustainability Month 2024, you’re invited to take part in York’s Sustainability Race! Visit the Keele, Glendon and Markham campuses while using the Scavify App to complete 30 different digital sustainability challenges. Tuesday, October 1 to Thursday, October 31.

  • Supporting Grief, Compassion and Community on Campus. To reflect on the ongoing global events of the past year, all York community members are invited to participate in sessions designed to create space, support and compassion for all parties who have been affected indirectly or directly as a result of the violence in Palestine, Lebanon and Israel.     Las Nubes Study Abroad Winter Reading Week Information Session. Sometimes learning outside of a familiar environment can be the best way to enrich our studies. Experience university life outside the classroom by visiting the Las Nubes Eco-Campus in Costa Rica this winter reading week. Virtual event.     Have you completed your FAAS App Profile? If you have not submitted your student profile application for the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships Solution application (FAAS App), you may miss out on fall term award opportunities. Fill out every tab to complete your profile, including the finances section, to get connected to awards you qualify for. Completion deadline: Monday, October 14.

     

    Decontamination Exercise. Ontario Power Generation (OPG) will be simulating a decontamination exercise on Keele Campus. You can expect to see some emergency vehicles on site with participants wearing vests who may be travelling through Founders Road West Lot, Toronto Track and Field Centre, Tait McKenzie Centre and Steacie Science and Engineering Library.
