FYI
A note to our students regarding CUPE3903’s call in a “Toolkit on Teaching Palestine” for Teaching Assistants (TAs) to divert their tutorials from the planned curriculum last week: The University is unaware of any TAs who responded to this call and we wish to express our gratitude to them for fulfilling their teaching responsibilities especially at a time when so many of our students are feeling in need of support. Nevertheless, as a follow up to the President’s January 29 message, we also are providing information to you about your rights and options if your tutorial was impacted. Students are not required to attend tutorials where the content has been diverted from the course syllabus in this manner, and this will not have an effect on any participation marks.
If you have concerns, please contact your course director or dean’s office. We also encourage all students to reach out for support whenever you need it.
