Announcement

  • Collection Drive in Support of the Caribbean Islands Impacted by Hurricane Melissa. The Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change (EUC) and the United Caribbean Islands (UCI) at York University will be collecting donations and funds to support those affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, Haiti and Cuba this past week. Collection bins will be located outside of 131 HNES and monetary donations can be made on UCI’s GoFundMe page. Please consider donating the following items: 

    • over-the-counter medications; 
    • hygiene projects and feminine hygiene products; 
    • first aid kits/supplies; 
    • infant/baby supplies and products (diapers, wipes, formula, etc.); 
    • batteries; 
    • flashlights; and  
    • non-perishable goods.

  • Spooky season: Navigating the unknown. What if the unknown wasn’t something to fear? In this special Halloween episode of the Well-being and YU podcast, we explore spiritual well-being by diving into the psychology of religion and spirituality, the cultural roots of belief and how embracing curiosity about the unknown can help you feel more grounded.

    Closure of Canada Post Outlet in York Lanes Bookstore. The Canada Post outlet located within the Bookstore in York Lanes will be permanently closing on Thursday, November 13. Several key mailing services offered at this location will now be available through Central Mailing Services, located in 043 Central Square, beginning Friday, November 14

     

    Leading Made Easier – SOS Help Desk Has Your Back! Hey Student Leaders, SCLD is excited to announce the SOS Help Desk, a new drop-in information session where you can come and ask questions, collaborate and resolve club and organization issues.
