  • Resources and Reminders

    As the academic year begins again, here’s a few things you should know:

    Get Your YU-card. This year, an updated policy means that YU-card identification will be required for exams. If you haven’t already, make sure you obtain your YU-card ASAP! 

    Read York’s DEDI Strategy. York is committed to upholding a learning environment that is antiracist, equitable and respectful. 

    Get familiar with the Code of Student Rights & Responsibilities. It outlines what you’re entitled to and responsible for in relation to academic honesty, conflict resolution, procedural fairness and more. 

    Review York’s Well-being Strategy. Your health and well-being are extremely important to us. This strategy shares how we are prioritizing and fostering a welcoming and caring environment for our community. 

Important Dates

  • Fees for fall and year courses are due on Wednesday, September 10. 

    The last date to add a course without the permission of an instructor is Tuesday, September 16.

  • Zotero Basics: Citations and Bibliographies Made Easy. Manage your citations and research using this free and open-source tool. Explore how to use Zotero to organize your citations and create your bibliographies – all in one place. Virtual event. Wednesday, September 10, 10 to 11 a.m. Registration required. 

International Student Support

  • Virtual UHIP Drop-in Session. Discover how to get your University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP), what is covered under it and how you can use your card. Virtual event. Wednesday, September 3, 1 to 4 p.m. Registration required.  

    Immigration Workroom: Study Permit Extension + PGWP. Find out more about extending your Study Permit or Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) by connecting with individuals who can guide you through the application process. Keele Campus.
