    Use the Virtual Well-being Hub to build habits that help you thrive. From mindfulness to motivation, the Hub is packed with ways to boost your mood and support your daily health and happiness. Explore what wellness looks like for you, at your own pace.

Consent Action Week

  • Consent Action Week. Take part in events dedicated to promoting healthy relationships, communication and personal well-being at York. Engage in workshops, seminars and activities that encourage learning, connection and reflection in safe and inclusive environments. Various locations and times. From now until Friday, September 26. Registration required. 

      

    Muay Thai and Self-Defence. This introductory class is perfect for beginners looking to learn the basics of Muay Thai. You'll practice foundational techniques such as punches, kicks, knees and elbows using Thai pads (no gloves required). No experience is necessary. Markham Campus. Thursday, September 25, 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. MK 1025 JD Wellness studio. Registration not required. 

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

  • National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Engage with this year’s theme, “Recentering reconciliation: 10 years after the TRC’s final report and calls to action – what is the path forward?” by taking part in several sessions where you can connect and learn about reconciliation. Various locations and times. Ending Tuesday, September 30. Registration required. 

     

    2025 Lunch and Learn Screenings. Join daily Lunch and Learn webinars to learn about various topics presented by The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation. Sessions will be streamed at various York University campus locations in person. Keele, Glendon and Markham Campus. Various dates and times available. Registration required.

     

    National Day for Truth and Reconciliation University Commemorative Event. The University’s annual commemorative event explores this year’s theme and invites you to take meaningful steps toward reconciliation. In-person participants will then be invited to Skennen’kó:wa Gamig for light refreshments and a ceremonial fire. Keele, Glendon and Markham Campus. Tuesday, September 30, 11 a.m. to noon.   • Student Accounts Lifecycle. If you will no longer be enrolled in courses at York, your student computing accounts will enter an expiry process. Make sure to download and back up any files that you may want to keep from your student account onto a personal device.

Indigenous Student Support

  • Miinkaanensing: Indigenous Reading Room Student Art Competition. Take part in the exciting opportunity to co-create the Miinkaanensing Indigenous Reading Room. Submit art in any traditional or contemporary format, including flat pieces, such as paintings, poems and beading, and three-dimensional pieces such as basketry, sculpture or metalwork. Three pieces of artwork will be purchased and displayed permanently in the Reading Room, with all entered artwork being displayed in Scott Library for a minimum of two weeks. Application deadline: Friday, October 3.   • 2026 Las Nubes Summer Program – Info Session. Discover the Las Nubes campus with the study abroad program in Costa Rica. The program offers interdisciplinary courses from May to August, giving you the chance to experience cultural and ecological immersion. Virtual event.
